Nursing2009 Symposium: The Conference for Clinical Excellence is sponsored by Wolters Kluwer Health/Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, and is part of the platform of the publication, Nursing2009 Journal. Each year, our conference committee works diligently to surpass the quality, content, and expectations of the previous meeting. Program Goals and Objectives
Purpose: To offer practicing nurses an educational activity that enhances the cognitive and practical skills necessary to maintain proficiency in nursing practice and to improve the quality of patient care.
Objectives: After attending the Nursing2009 Symposium, you should be able to:
- Identify the newest therapies and guidelines for managing wounds, pain, asthma, diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disease, I.V. therapy, and more.
- Identify your own position, role, and plan of action during ethical, legal, or interpersonal conflicts in the workplace.
- Demonstrate skills learned at workshops and discussions that will help enhance your clinical competency and decision-making ability.

Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW), publisher of Nursing2009, will award a maximum of 26.5 contact hours for this continuing nursing education activity.
Lippincott Williams & Wilkins is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
This activity is also provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP 11749 for 26.5 contact hours. LWW is also an approved provider by the District of Columbia and Florida #FBN2454. Your certificate is valid in all states.

The Nursing2009 Symposium headquarters hotel is the Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. A block of rooms has been reserved at a group rate of $158 single/double occupancy per night. Rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes (currently at 12.5%). Please be sure to mention that you are with the Nursing2009 Symposium group to obtain this special rate.
